TRESA is certainly one good model for local community groups to look at and learn from, including the Sustainable Knowle group I'm involved with (originally called the Campaign for the Achievement of a Sustainable Knowle) which has begun meeting regularly in recent months. I had some brief and helpful contact with TRESA when I first started thinking about setting up a community-based sustainability and quality of life group in Knowle.
Views about our real wealth - the natural and social world, the source of our resources and the basis of our lives - and how it can and should be sustained for generations.

Totterdown Residents Environmental and Social Action
I've been looking over the website of Totterdown Residents Environmental and Social Action (TRESA) after picking up their newsletter The Talk of Totterdown locally. Its a very intersting organinsation currently active issues like walking, cycling, plastic bags, planning, parks and open spaces, built environment...One issue I'm supporting them on is their campaign for a better route for pedestrians and cyclists along the A4 Bath and Wells Roads from Temple Meads into Totterdown and then Knowle (you can sign the online petition here).
